2015-04-06 RM Exhibits i ,, is - :11 f NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COM1 1.1 ■ ' Boos =�•!� N Page /• 1 1 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING REBECCA TROUTMAN FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE TO NORTH CAROLINA COUNTIES WHEREAS, Rebecca Troutman, Intergovernmental Relations Director for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners(NCACC), will be retiring after twenty-five years of outstanding service; and WHEREAS, in addition to serving as the Intergovernmental Relations Director for NCACC, Rebecca represents county interests on several issues as a registered lobbyist with the North Carolina General Assembly; and WHEREAS,Rebecca obtained her Master of Public Administration from North Carolina State University; and WHEREAS,Rebecca began her career as a Budget Analyst with Wake County; and WHEREAS, Rebecca designed and managed the implementation of the N.C. Local Government Debt Setoff Clearinghouse. This program enables all counties and cities to submit delinquent debts for repayment through personal income tax refund setoffs. Since its inception in 2001, it has returned over $223 million to counties and cities; and 1 WHEREAS, Rebecca coordinates and oversees the Association's research efforts, working to create the Center for County Research to expand and focus county-centered research and data analysis; and 9 WHEREAS, Rebecca's incredible knowledge of government and legislative issues, and assistance with 1 challenges many North Carolina counties face, has been very beneficial to New Hanover County. Booltage 171 NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISIONERS SEXUAL ASSAULT ACTIVISM MONTH PROCLAMATION APRIL 2015 WHEREAS, Sexual Assault Activism Month is intended to draw attention to the fact that sexual violence is widespread and has public health implications for every community member of New Hanover County; and WHEREAS, The Rape Crisis Center staff and DEDICATED volunteers served more than 450 new sexual violence victims and their loved ones in the past year providing free and confidential support, advocacy, and counseling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year; and WHEREAS, with leadership, dedication, and encouragement, there is compelling evidence that we can be successful in reducing sexual violence in New Hanover County through prevention education, increased awareness, and holding perpetrators who commit acts of violence responsible for their actions.
