THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into on the last date executed below, by and between the
North Candina Department of Transportation, an agency of the State cfNorth Carolina, hereinafter
referred to as the "Department", and the New Hanover County, hereinafter referred to as the
"County."
WHEREAS, the Department and the County on11/14/ 012, entered into a certain Project Agreement
for the original scope: on-road bicycle lanes nnCnw| Farm Road and Red Cedar Road, and an off-
road mu|h-usepethm|nnQyWidd|eSoundLaupRoadhomUheendofthe5RTSSR-5Qn1BOPnoje«±in
New Hanover County. This Project will link with the already constructed Cross City Trail,
programmed under Project EB'5543;and,
WHEREAS, the parties entered into Supplemental Agreements on 4/5/2013 and 12/11/2014 to revise
the scope, funding, and completion date of the Project', and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish tu revise the scope and extend the completion date ofthe Project;
NOW THEREFORE, the parties wish to supplement the aforementioned Agreement whereby the
following provisions are amended:

The Project consists of on-road bicycle lanes on Red Cedar Road, and an off-road multi-use path or
sidewalk along Middle Sound Loop Road in accordance with the scope specified in the supplemental
for SR-5001 BO. The scope includes the portion within the SRTS Project, an on-road path along
Oyster Road and Bright Leaf Road, and a pedestrian bridge connecting to Thais Trail.
TIME FRAME
The completion date for pre-construction activities io revised from G/30/ 3ho6/19/15.amdUhe
completion date of the Project is revised from 12/31/14 to 2/26/16.

This letter is in regards the agreement that needs to be signed by New Hanover County.
The agreements were sent to the wrong Department the first go around.
Enclosed please find two (2) blank agreements for the requested time extension. Please
sign, seal and return BOTH original back to me for processing and execution.
Please note that any additions, deletions or changes (including revising page numbers) to
this agreement are not allowed and will render the agreement null and void. You may
however, add a page to the end for approval by your Finance Officer and/or Attorney.
