Proposals for Improving Community Involvement in our Nursing Homes Discussion ensued regarding CAC active involvement in public awareness.Motion to table this proposal at this time by Dot Grime and second to the motion by Denise Shuart. , 2. National Nursing Home Week;Theme is"Bring on the Fiesta";May 10-16,2015 Partial activity schedules reviewed/encourage all CAC's to choose a facility to attend and/or assist 3 with their celebrations;final schedules to be made available by Julie Letters with copies of the facilities activities to be sent upon completion to the County Commissioners;one of our goals is to encourage their participation 3. North Chase visit i Discussion and review of CAC responsibilities in observations and exit interviews CAC Visitation Checklist provided to each attendee 4. Davis Visit Discussion indicating difficulty entering and exiting the individual housing units. Suggesting 2 teams of CAC's assigned to grouping of 4 houses Reminders that there is to be no identifying of the houses,room numbers,or other client reveal, unless written authorization by resident 1 5. a. Identify self with administration if visiting a facility in a capacity other than CAC, according to the State Ombudsman b. Resident acquaintances/friends:CAC visitation with observations,conversations, 3 exit interviews to be limited to assigned areas that do not include these residents/family members c.
