NEW HANOVER COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY
SPECIAL MEETING
February 15, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
The New Hanover County Airport Authority held a special meeting on Monday, February 15,
2016, at Wilmington International Airport, 1740 Airport Boulevard, Wilmington, North
Carolina. Vice Chairman Wolfe called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and read the
conflicts of interest were identified at that time.
Airport Authority members present were; Thomas Wolfe, Vice-Chairman; Carter Lambeth,
Secretary; Tom Barber, Donna Girardot, Dan Hickman and John Perritt. Also present were Julie
Wilsey, Airport Director; Gary Broughton, Deputy Airport Director; Robert Campbell, Finance
Director; Whitney Prease, Facilities Director; Rose Davis, Executive Assistant; and Wanda
Copley, New Hanover County Attorney.
Jonathan Crane, Chairman, was absent.
Guests present included Monte Coughlin, Bill Cherry, Eric Canup, Dave Rock and Ryan Evans.
APPROVAL OF LEASE WITH LIVE OAK BANK
Mr. Broughton recommended the approval of the Live Oak Bank lease as written. Mr. Broughton
suggested approval of the lease, as is, with Live Oak Bank. Staff will work through the issues
with Air Wilmington. Mr. Lambeth MOVED, SECONDED by Mr. Barber, to approve the lease
with Live Oak Bank as presented, subject to conversations with Air Wilmington. Upon vote, the
MOTION WAS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. Chairman Crane was absent.
APPROVAL OF LEASE WITH SEAHAWK AVIATION
Mr. Broughton recommended the approval of the Seahawk Aviation lease as written, subject to
issues presented by Air Wilmington that staff will discuss with Mr. Cherry. Mr. Lambeth
MOVED, SECONDED by Mr. Barber to approve the lease with SeaHawk Aviation as presented,
subject to conversations with Air Wilmington. A brief discussion followed regarding a few of
the issues presented by Air Wilmington. Upon vote, the MOTION WAS APPROVED
UNANIMOUSLY. Chairman Crane was absent.
Mrs. Wilsey advised that the SeaHawk Aviation lease will be ready to sign in the next day or so,
while the Live Oak Bank lease will not be able to be signed until the exact layout is completed
for the hangar. This will determine the actual square footage.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Lambeth MOVED, SECONDED
by Mr. Barber to adjourn. Upon vote, the MOTION WAS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
Chairman Crane was absent. Vice Chairman Wolfe adjourned the meeting at 5:05 pm.
