RESOLUTION
SELL OF TRANSPORT VANS TO PENDER COUNTY
WHEREAS, Pender County desires to purchase two (2) transport vans equipped with cages
from the New Hanover County Sherriff s Office; and
WHEREAS, the transport vans are described below; and

WHEREAS, these transport vans have become surplus to the Sheriffs Office operations due to
high mileage and have been replaced; and
WHEREAS, GS 160A -274 gives any governmental unit, upon such terms and conditions as it
deems wise, with or without consideration, the right to exchange with, lease to, lease from, sell
to, or purchase from any other governmental unit any interest in real or personal property; and
WHEREAS, Pender County agrees to purchase the transport vans from the County for $3,200
and $4,000 respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the New Hanover County Board of
Commissioners that the two (2) transport vans be sold to Pender County for a total of $7,200 and
County staff is directed to process any required documents to complete the transaction.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY MANAGER'S OFFICE OR DESIGNEE
TO DIRECT AND SUPERVISE THE DISINTERMENT, REMOVAL,
AND REINTERMENT OF GRAVES
WHEREAS, N.C.G.S. § 65 -106 outlines the procedures to be followed by a party for the
determent, removal, and interment of graves; and
WHEREAS, N.C.G.S. § 65 -106 provides that all disinterment, removal, and reinterment under
the provisions of Chapter 65 of the North Carolina General Statutes shall be made under the
supervision and direction of the County Board of Commissioners.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of New
Hanover County, North Carolina that the County Manager's Office or designee, with the assistance
of the County Health Director as necessary, is hereby designated as the department responsible for
supervision and direction of the disinterment, removal, and reinterment of graves.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY 2016 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, TITLED PLAN NHC
WHEREAS, in July 2013, New Hanover County began the process of updating the CAMA
Land Use Plan and creating a Comprehensive Plan for the unincorporated portion of the County;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has validated Chapter 1: Public Engagement Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has validated Chapter 2: Evaluating the Present (a
report of existing conditions); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has validated Chapter 3: Framing the Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has validated Chapter 4: Visualizing the Future; and
WHEREAS, staff has worked with the community at large to develop the final chapter of the
plan, Chapter 5: Building the Future with the appropriate Prologue and Appendix.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the New Hanover County Board of
Commissioners hereby validates "Building the Future" as the fifth chapter within the
Comprehensive Plan, and adopts all five chapters, the prologue and the appendix as the final
2016 Comprehensive Plan: Plan NHC.
