12.1.16 PB Agenda NEW HANOVER COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING & LAND USE 230 GOVERNMENT CENTER DRIVE, SUITE 110 WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA 28403 TELEPHONE (910) 798-7165 FAX (910) 798-7053 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD DECEMBER 1, 2016 The New Hanover County Planning Board will hold public hearings on Thursday, December 1, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. or thereafter at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, 24 North Third Street (corner of Third and Princess Streets), Room 301 in Wilmington, NC to consider the following: Approval of Planning Board Minutes Item 1: Rezoning Request (Z-959M, 12/16) – Request by H+W Design on behalf of the property owner, Raleigh Wilmington Investors, LLC, to rezone 20.7 acres located at the 2300 & 2400 block of Middle Sound Loop Road from (CZD) R-20, Conditional Residential District, and R-20S, Residential District, to (CZD) R-20, Conditional Residential District, in order to develop a performance residential development. Item 2: Special Use Permit Request (S-633, 12/16) – Request by New Hanover County Fire Services on behalf of the property owner, Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, for a special use permit for a temporary fire station located at the 7500 block of Old Oak Road. Item 3: Rezoning Request (Z-965, 12/16) – Request by Design Solutions on behalf of the property owner, Inlet Watch Development Partners, LLC, to rezone 7.03 acres located at the 7200 block of Carolina Beach Road from B-1, Business District, to (CZD) B-2, Conditional Highway Business District, in order to develop a mini-warehouse use. Item 4: Development Activity Page – Presentation by Planning Staff on the County’s new Development Activity Page. The Planning Board may consider substantial changes to petitions as a result of objections, debate, and discussion at the meeting, including rezoning to other classifications.
