New Hanover County’s Technical Review Committee (TRC) will meet Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at
2:00 p.m. in the Lucie Harrell Conference Room (Room 601) of the New Hanover County Government
Center located at 230 Government Center Drive, Wilmington, NC to review the following:
2:00 p.m. Item 1: Middle Sound Village (EDZD Site Plan) – Request by Intracoastal Engineering for
Green Hawk Corporation for TRC to consider preliminary site plan re-approval with Low
Impact Development (LID) elements of a 47 single family lot project located in the 600
block of Middle Sound Loop Road, north side.
Middle Sound Village History
TRC approved the preliminary site plan and companion LID component in July
2013 for 45 patio units
Preliminary site plans are valid for two (2) years unless a final plat for all or a
portion of the project is submitted and approved by the County within the two
(2) year time frame. A final plat for a portion of the project was submitted in
October, 2016 and is currently under review pending approval.
Middle Sound Village Preliminary Re-Approval Request
Current plan displays 44 single family units
Would like to retain option of 47 units as originally approved
Several unit design adjustments have been made to the updated plan
Overall design layout (streets, sidewalks, storm water facilities) have not changed
Impervious coverage has been adjusted to 159,391 sf from 161,338 sf
Several permits have been approved
