Pursuant to the North Carolina General Contract Terms and Conditions (Contractual and Consultant Services) Clause
pertaining to Amendments of Contract No. 6962, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality and the
Contractor mutually agree to change the contract ending date from 06/30/2017 to 06/30/2018. This no -cost time
extension is to allow the Contractor to complete the dredging part of the project. Please see attachment A.
THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAYABLE UNDER THIS CONTRACT REMAINS THE SAME.
It is the intent of this amendment to address the provision(s) noted only, and in no way should this amendment be
construed to further modify this contract. All other terms and conditions remain the same. Please indicate acceptance
by your signat low.

New Hanover County was granted a WRDP grant on August 5, 2016. The grant provided
financial assistance for the County's Carolina Beach Inlet Dredging Permit Modification project.
The grant is set to expire on June 30, 2017.
The permit modification process is progressing, but has been put on hold by the permitting
agency (NCDCM) pending receipt of Federal agencies comments. The process will restart once
the comments are received. Due to the delay, the County does not expect the project to be
completed by June 30' and has requested a "no cost — time extension" until June 30, 2018.
Division staff have reviewed the request and concur with extending the grant until June 30, 2018.

New Hanover County (NHC) requests a "no cost — time extension" for Grant Contract 6962.
The federal and state authorization process is ongoing; however, the Wilmington District's
Division of Coastal Management and Division of Water Resources have placed the application
on hold. Once the federal agencies have submitted their comments, the state will restart their
review. NHC requests Grant Contract 6962 be extended until June 30, 2018.
If additional information is needed, please call at your earliest convenience
