Welcome and Introductions:
The November meeting, held at the NHC EOC, was called to order at approximately 1205 hours. August
minutes were reviewed and approved. Member introductions complete.
Membership Announcements:
INVISTA
• Site drill on 11/14
• Hazwoper drill on 11/13 at NHC EOC
COAST GUARD
• Will meet on Friday, November 9th at the County library Military Cutoff location.
New Business
MEMBERSHIP ROSTERS
• Review of Membership rosters identified some changes
• Remaining changes to be completed within the next week
ESF # 10 HAZMAT ANNEX
• Review to be tabled for a more detailed review later
• Teresa to send out to working sub-group for 1st review
• Sub Group to provide comments back to Teresa in writing
LEPC ACTIVITY CHECK SHEET & BY-LAWS
• LEPC Activity Check Sheet – need to improve items where applicable
• LEPC By-Laws were last amended and approved by County Commissioners in Dec 2011
• Any proposed changes to By-Laws need to be submitted to Teresa in writing for further review
Open Forum
COUNTY NAVIGABLE WATER RESPONSE
• Cowan – Law enforcement agencies are working collaboratively for combined navigable
water response
• Fire & EMS are doing similar actions with identifying EMS pick-up locations on all county
navigable waters
• Question remains concerning response on Sutton Lake
MASS CASUALTY PLAN
• NH County working on Mass Casualty Plan with Brunswick & Horry Counties
PUBLIC NOTICE OF LEPCs
• To be assigned to Charles Smith
• Currently only do one Hazmat notification to public annually after Tier II reports are complete
• Reporting meets current requirement
Next LEPC Meeting:
The next committee meeting will be held on February 13th at 12:00 noon at the PORTS Authority who
will supply lunch.
The Executive Committee will meet Monday January 28th to address any business-related needs of the
committee.
