Re: Optima Towers proposed site NC-1031 Northchase
Dear Mr. Andrea,
In a follow up to the my previous letter of September 2016, I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize that T-
Mobile no longer considers Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Water Tank at 2607 Northchase Parkway a viable platform for
our present future needs. It is vitally important for T-Mobile to continue to provide adequate advanced voice, data, and E-911
services, not only to residences and businesses in the Northchase area, but also to the visitors of Olsen Park. Due to the
receipt of the termination letter and insufficient capabilities of the Water Tank, we no longer feel this a reasonable structure to
meet our coverage objectives.
Please find attached system coverage maps depicting the T-mobile network coverage in the Northchase area. The
first map depicts T-Mobile system without the existing placement on the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority Water Tank at
2607 Northchase Parkway. The second map depicts system coverage provided with the proposed Optima Towers facility to
be located at 2020 Corporate Drive. As is readily evident from the attached system coverage maps, the proposed Optima
Towers facility will provide not only an ideal platform but also a long term reliable home for T-Mobile to serve the citizens of
New Hanover County in the surrounding area.
We respectfully request that this letter be provided to the Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County in order
to aid with their deliberations for the approval of the proposed Optima Towers facility. If you have any questions or if I can
