FAIR-HOUSING-DISCRIMINATION-PUBLIC-NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE HOUSING DISCRIMINATION IS PROHIBITED BY LAW This notice is being published pursuant to the requirements of Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, and the State of North Carolina Fair Housing Law - Chapter 41A, which prohibit discrimination against any person in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status (including children under the age of 18 living with parents of legal custodians, pregnant women, and people securing custody of children under the age of 18), and handicap (disability). New Hanover County seeks to inform the public that it will administer County assisted programs and activities relating to housing and community development in a manner to affirmatively further fair housing.
