GRANT CONTRACT NO. 6904
AMENDMENT NO. 1
ATTACHMENT A
Grant Contract 6904— New Hanover County Mercury Products Recycling Grant
Revised Program Budget:
New Hanover County was awarded funds through Grant Contract 6904 to expand a permanent mercury product
recycling program. This project is designed for the collection of mercury products from residents and small business in
the county. These products are collected in a mobile unit used throughout various locations in the county. The mercury
products are then properly stored where the state vendor will pick them up to be recycled.
The original project budget included funding for education and outreach of new program as well as various project
supplies. The county has completed the purchase of the project materials and obtained some free outreach materials as
well as use other resources already on hand. Other purchases were more than expected.
The county would like to request the budget be revised to allow the excess funds applied to purchases higher than the
original budget. Below are the original budget and the revised budget.
