Coordination with Law Enforcement
There was a discussion with Chief Deputy Sarvis regarding how law enforcement can collaborate
with C-RAC during community crises related to prejudice and discrimination. Mr. Owen
explained that the C-RAC can assist in bridging gaps with law enforcement with community
members. Chief Deputy Sarvis explained that in the evident that there is a crisis there could be
a community briefing that C-RAC members could attend. He also explained that a lot of times,
they cannot share specific information during an investigation but they strive to build
relationships in the community in multiple ways from their SROs, communication with students
and families and at community events.
Chief Deputy Sarvis also urged sub-committee members to let them know if there are things
that can be done better as well as if there is possibly a crisis on the horizon.

Rev. Davis discussed the need to collaborate. He informed the sub-committee that he was
scheduling a meeting between C-RAC leadership, NAACP leadership and Ms. Thomas in the near
