NON-AGENDA ITEMS Chairman Greer announced that time had been reserved to allow anyone from the public to present an item that was not listed on the Regular Agenda. Motion: District Commissioner Caster MOVED, SECONDED by District Commissioner Boseman, to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 12, 2001, as presented by the Clerk to the District Board. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. APPROVAL OF REQUEST BY MR. THOMAS STANLEY REEVES TO CONNECT THE DISCHARGE SEWAGE FROM THE CAROLINA OMELET HOUSE TO THE EXISTING FORCE MAIN LOCATED IN CASTLE HAYNE Assistant County Manager, Dave Weaver, reported that Mr. Thomas Stanley Reeves, owner of Carolina Omelet House located at 5512 Castle Hayne Road, has requested the District to allow the restaurant to discharge sewage into the existing sewer line running behind his property. Mr. Reeves wants to increase the seating in the restaurant from 35 to 70 seats, but due to the limited capacity of his septic tank, this cannot be done. If the restaurant is expanded to 70 seats, the sewer flow will be 1,700 gallons per day. Since this is an existing restaurant, Staff recommends allowing Mr. Reeves to connect to the force main if he pays all associated costs. Discussion was held on how Mr. Reeves would be impacted once the existing force main becomes a gravity line. Assistant County Manager Weaver explained that once the force main becomes a gravity line, Mr. Reeves will be required to connect to the line upon availability. Chairman Greer called for a motion.
