ASSEMBLY
The New Hanover County Water and Sewer District Board of Commissioners met in Regular
Session on Monday, October 5, 1998, at 9:25 p.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover
County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were: District Commissioners Buzz Birzenieks; Ted Davis, Jr.; William A.
Caster; Vice Chairman Charles R. Howell; County Manager, Allen O’Neal; County Attorney, Wanda
M. Copley; and Deputy Clerk to the Board, Teresa P. Elmore.
Chairman Robert G. Greer was absent.
Vice Chairman Howell called the meeting to order.
NON AGENDA ITEMS
Vice Chairman Howell announced that time had been reserved for anyone from the public to
present an item that was not listed on the regular agenda. He requested all persons to limit their
remarks to three minutes.
No items were presented.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion:
District Commissioner Caster MOVED, SECONDED by District Commissioner
Birzenieks, to approve the minutes of September 21, 1998, as submitted by the Clerk to the Board.
Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED 4 to 0.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion:
District Commissioner Caster MOVED, SECONDED by District Commissioner Davis, to
adjourn. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED 4 to 0.
Vice Chairman Howell adjourned the meeting at 9:30 p.m.
