ASSEMBLY
The District Board of Commissioners of the New Hanover County
Water and Sewer District met in Regular Session on Monday, February
3, 1997, at 9:44 P.M. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover
County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North
Carolina.
Members present were: District Commissioners Buzz Birzenieks;
Ted Davis, Jr.; Robert G. Greer; Vice-Chairman Charles R. Howell;
Chairman William A. Caster; County Manager, Allen O'Neal; County
Attorney, Wanda M. Copley; and Clerk to the District Board, Lucie
F. Harrell.
Chairman Caster called the meeting to order.
NON-AGENDA ITEMS
Chairman Caster asked if anyone from the public would like to
present an item not listed on the Regular Agenda.
No comments or items were presented.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion: District Commissioner Howell MOVED, SECONDED by District
Commissioner Greer to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting of
January 21, 1997, as presented by the Clerk to the District Board.
Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
DISCUSSION OF PURCHASING THE DOBO WATER SYSTEMS
Chairman Caster reported that Vice-Chairman Howell and he had
met with the Dobo brothers to discuss the price of purchasing the
two water systems. He advised that cost data was presented showing
the history of revenue collected from the systems. Staff is in the
process of reviewing the information, and the District Board will
be informed of any activities occurring during the purchasing
process.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion: District Commissioner Greer MOVED, SECONDED by Vice-
Chairman Howell to adjourn. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY.
Chairman Caster adjourned the meeting at 9:47 P.M.
