requested the District to accept a water system in the new development located in the Middle Sound

ADDITIONAL ITEM
Discussion of Collocation of Communication Towers on New Hanover County Water Towers
District Commissioner Greer requested the County Engineer to work with telephone
companies in collocation of communication towers on the District's water towers whenever possible.
He advised this option could reduce the need for more communication towers and bring in rental
revenue for the Water and Sewer District.
County Engineer Blanchard reported the District had not been approached by the telephone
companies; however, other counties had offered collocation at stipulated rental fees.
Consensus:
After further discussion, it was the consensus of the District Board for the County
Manager to write a letter to the telephone companies and offer collocation of communication towers
on the District's water towers
