ASSEMBLY
The District Board of Commissioners of the New Hanover County
Water & Sewer District met in a continued meeting of November 15,
1993, on Friday, November 19, 1993, at 10:38 A.M. in the First
Floor Assembly Room of the New Hanover County Administration
Building, 320 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were: District Commissioners William A.
Caster; Robert G. Greer; Vice-Chairman Sandra Barone; Chairman E.
L. Mathews, Jr.; County Manager, Allen O'Neal; County Attorney
Wanda M. Copley; and Clerk to the Board, Lucie F. Harrell.
District Commissioner Sisson was on vacation and could not
attend the meeting.
Chairman Mathews called the meeting to order.
Finance Director, Andrew J. Atkinson, requested adoption of a
resolution to file an application with the Local Government
Commission for approval of issuing refunding bonds for the Water &
Sewer District.
Motion: Vice-Chairman Barone MOVED, SECONDED by District
Commissioner Caster to adopt a resolution authorizing the filing of
an application with the Local Government Commission for issuance of
refunding bonds of the Water & Sewer District. Upon vote, the
MOTION CARRIED AS FOLLOWS:

District Commissioner Greer
Vice-Chairman Barone
Chairman Mathews
Absent: District Commissioner Sisson
Vice-Chairman Barone introduced the bond order, which was read
at length.
Motion: District Commissioner Caster MOVED to adopt the resolution
introduced at the meeting to hold a Public Hearing on December 6,
1993, at 6:30 P.M. in the First Floor Assembly Room of the New
Hanover County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street,
Wilmington, North Carolina, to consider a Bond Order to issue
$12,000,000 of General Obligation Refunding bonds of the New
Hanover County Water & Sewer District. The MOTION WAS SECONDED by
District Commissioner Greer. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED AS
FOLLOWS:

ADJOURNMENT
Motion: Vice-Chairman Barone MOVED, SECONDED by District
Commissioner Caster to adjourn. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED AS
FOLLOWS:
