REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING BO.'l..B.D OF HEALTH
HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD

Present: Mr. Hewlett, Dr. Morrison, Mr. Roland and Dr. Wessell.
The minutes of the last meetinG were read and approved.
The Health Officer presented the monthly reports.
After a general discussion of the estimated cost of rat proofing
some of the buildings, it was moved by Dr. Wessell seconded by
Dr. Morrison that the Health Officer not authorize the proofing
of any buildinG by the government with the cost to be assessed
against the property without first calling the Board of Health
together for the approval of such action. Carried.
The Health Officer haS instructed to have a conference \lith Mr.
Hinton of the State Board of Health regarding the fact that the
estimated cost so far on proofing buildinGs generally seem much
higher than the original sugE~sted $35.00 average.
Mr. Hewlett discussed informally with the Board the problem of
hauling sand with which to properly cover the trash on the City
dump after we obtain our tractor and bulldozer. The purchase of
fou~ second-hand trucks was mentioned as a possible solution to
the problem. This operation being necessary to avoid waste of time
of the steam shovel. No official action was taken.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
