REGULAR MONTHLY M?ETING BOARD OF HEALTH
HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD
DECEMBER 14, 1944
Present: Mr. Addison Hewlett, Chairman, lJa,yor W. Ronald Lane, Mr.
H. M. Roland, Dr. J. C. Wessell, Dr. W. Houston Moore and Dr. James
H. Smith.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Health Officer presented the monthly reports.
Mr. Roland reported that the Board of Education unanimously favored
the X-raying of teachers, but felt that it should be a State wide
program so that no one County would be different from other Counties.
He also pointed out that having such procedure in one County and not
in others might increase the difficulty of securing teachers.
The Health Officer read to the Board members a letter from Dr. Sharp
stating that milk from vaccinated herds should be acceptable if pro-
perly pasteurized.
The Orange burg Fibre Pipe Was discussed, but no official action taken.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
