REGUkR HONTHLY HGETING BOJiRD OF HEALTH
HELD IN OFFICE OF BO"IW

11. Ronald Lane, Dr. 1'1. Houston fuoore and Dr. Jaroos H. Smith.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Health Ofl'icer presented the monthly reports.
Mr. Hewlett presented the Health Officer with a letter from Mr.
Hargrove Bellarrw regarding the trouble with rats in Toms Drug Store
after it had been proofed. The Health Officer read this letter to the
Board members after which it was moved b~r Dr. \'Iessell, seconded by Uayor
Lane, that the Health Officer and 1ir. Savage check the bUilding, make
any necessary corrections and notify 1~. Bellamy accordingly.
The Health Officer discussed with the Board members the pro blem of
toilets at the Puritan Cafe. It was SUGgested that the City Engineer
be consulted and asked for the most feasible solution of this problem.
The Health Officer asked for an received authority to use arw unex-
pended funds from itor"" in which there was a surplus to take care of
arw items which had been overdrawn during the fiscal year.
The Health Officer presented a proposed bUdget for the year 1945-46.
dter a brief discussion, it was moved by Dr. Hessell, seconded by
Dr. Smith, that the budget be tentatively adopted as presented plus
giving Mr. Edwards, Ubs Bolyn and Miss ;:ooqy as much as the Merit
System would allow. Carried.
