Smith, Dr. William H. Wagoner, and Dr. R. Bryant Hare, Jr. On motion by Dr. James H. Smith, seconded by Dr. William H. Wagoner, the Minutes of the regular April meeting were approved without reading, copies having been mailed to Board Members. Carried. Mr. Cranford reported on Shell Homes. He said much time had been spent trying to get Shell HOIII5 occupants to comply with Local He&lth i1.Sgulations. Dr. Smith suggested that Mr. Cranford write to Shell Homes and send them a copy of the "Law and Regulations. He also suggested that }"~. Cranford get advice on this matter from the County Attorney Bradford Tillery. By common consent, this was adopted, Mr. Cranford agreed to see Attorney Bradford Tillery. .. . Dr. Benjamin Allen stated that he had presented a copy of the Mental Health Budget, approved by the Board, to Mr. Love, County Auditor. Chairman Hall suggested that Dr. Allen itemize this account more specifically and also give a breakdown on contents for supplying office. Dr. Smith made a motion to change Item Number Four (4) in the present ~,ental Health Budget to read $1,1l9.83 instead of $2,500. Dr. Wagoner seconded this Motion and it was carried. Also a new location for the Mental Health was discussed briefly. ..- Following a discussion of the subject and in accordance with a previous request of the Nental Health Association, Dr. Smith made a motion that "vie separate the Mental Health Program Division from the Health Department". Dr. Hare seconded this motion, and it was carried. Dr. C, B, Davis, Health Director, stated that Dr. Higgins had written that some decision might be forthcoming in relation to separate the Mental Health Program on a State level from State Board of Health, and putting it under State Hospital Board of Control. A report concerning this matter from a Southern Regional Educational Board is due to be made to the Governor. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
