Bryant Hare. Dr. W;lli"," H. Wagoner. Minutes of the March 4. 1964 meeting were approved by motion of Dr. Knox. seconded by Dr. Wagoner. There was a discussion of sewerage conditions on Harbor Island. Mr. Hall read from previous minutes regarding these conditions. Mr. Paul E. Gregory appeared before the Board regarding a lot on South Harbor Island where he wants to build a two bedroom house. The lot is 70 x 85 feet. has 5.950 square feet - on East side of Live Oak Street. He presented charts and percolation test results. Mr. Hall asked that he leave the charts and that they would give him an answer as soon as possible. Questions also came up about a lot on North Harbor Island sold by Mr. Hooper Johnson. Mr. Johnson is to get his plot plan in and have percolation tests made of these lots and they will at this time be considered. ,. - Because these lots were purchased and so divided before the present regulations went into effect the Board agrees that if Dr. Davis sees fit (providing the tests are alright) he can make exceptions in these cases. There was a discussion of trailer regulations regarding septic tanks. It was decided that whenever a trailer is put on a private lot - the regulations would be the same as for a house. depending on number of bedrooms. Mr. Hall reported on progress toward establishing a planning and Zoning Board for New Hanover County. Tentative plans would put the Plumbing Inspector. Electrical Inspector and Building Inspector in the same offices and permits would be sold in this Inspections office but authority over the plumbing inspections would remain with the Board of Health. The Plumbing Inspector would still work under Mr. Cranford and Dr. Davis instead of brjnging every prOblem to the Board Meetings. Dr. Davis and Mr. Cranford will further investigate this proposal and bring recommendations to the next meeting. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. Respect~ submitted.
