HomeMy WebLinkAbout05/06/1964 38'; REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING BOARD OF HEALTH HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD May 6, 1964 -- Present: Mr. J. M. Hall, Jr., Dr. J. C. Knox, Dr. James Smith, Mayor O. O. Allsbrook, Dr. William Wagoner. Minutes of the April 1 meeting were approved by motion of Mayor Allsbrook, seconded by Dr. Knox. Dr. Knox made a motion that the Tentative Budget for 1964-65, which was presented to the Board for study on April 1, be approved by the Board of Health and submitted to the County CollllDissioners and City Council. This motion was seconded by Mayor Allsbrook. The motion carried. Dr. Knox recommended approval of the Insect & Rodent Control Budget, the Drainage budget and budget for a new building for the Warehouse. This motion was seconded by Dr. Smith. Motion carried. Mayor Allsbrook made a motion that we request $12,000 for the Salt Marsh Drainage program. This motion was seconded by Dr. Knox. Motion carried. " Dr. Smith made a motion that, if it can be done within the framework and with funds on hand, we purchase a new fogging machine for Insect & Rodent Control. Mayor Allsbrook seconded the motion. Motion carried. -. Permission was asked to transfer funds from unexpended items to overexpended items in this year's budget. Dr. Knox made the motion that necessary funds be transferred (not to exceed $1,000) from contingent funds to take care of over expended items. Motion carried. There was a general discussion of plumbing. Mr. Cranford reported on the progress of the collllDittee which is drawing up the new plumbing code. There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
