RIDULAR MONTHLY MEETING BOARD OF HEALTH
HELD IN OFFICE OF BOARD

Present:
Dr. Joseph W. Hooper, Chairman, Dr. J. C. Knox, Dr. James
Smith, Dr. William Wagoner and Mayor O. O. Allsbrook
Dr. Wagoner made the motion that Dr. Knox, Dr. R. Bryant Hare, Jr., and
Dr. Smith be reappointed as members of the Board of Health. Motion was
seconded by Mayor Allsbrook and carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Dr. Wagoner, seconded by Dr. Knox, that all present
staff members be reappointed. Motion carried.
Dr. Wagoner made a motion that future Board of Health meetings be held at
8:00 A. M. on the first Wednesday of each month and that meetings be held
to a one hour limit if possible. Motion was seconded by Dr. Smith and
carried.
Minutes of the November 25th, 1964 meeting were approved by motion of
Dr. Wagoner, seconded by Dr. Knox.

A brief report was given on the status of the revised plumbing code. It
was agreed that no further action could be taken until there are recommenda-
tions from the State Building Codes Council or State Board of Health.

Several letters from Mr. E. C. Brandon, City Manager, were read. These
concerned the newly annexed areas. (Dr. Davis was asked to check on policies
for annexation and determine if our policies are in line with present practices).
Dr. Wagoner made a motion that provided previously unfinished work has been
properly completed and fees paid in cash, that Mr. John Galog1s plumbing
license be reinstated temporarily (on probation status) and that his case
be reviewed at the next meeting of the Board of Health. Motion was seconded
by Dr. Smith. Motion carried.
Dr. Smith made a motion that we file application for Federal Funds to parti-
cipate in the Air Pollution Program, provided additional local funds are not
necessary for this. This motion was seconded by Dr. Knox and carried.
There was a discussion of the College Park School drainage problem. It was
the feeling of the Board that something must be done about this. Mr. Cranford
was asked to make a study of the air maps to see what can be done. If formal
application needs to be made for this, Dr. Wagoner will ask the Board of
Education to supply such.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
