REGULAR NONTHLY MEETING
BOARD OF HEALTH
January 12, 1966

Present: Dr. Joseph Hooper, Chairman, Dr. J. C. Knox, Dr. James Smith,
Dr. James TidIer, Bradford L. Tillery, Attorney at Law, and City
pmnager E. C. Brandon
Hinutes of the December Sth meeting were approved by motion of Dr. Knox,
seconded by Dr. Smith.
Nobile Home Ordinance: There was a detailed discussion of the proposed Hobile
Home Ordinance. After several amendments to the proposed Ordinance, Dr. Knox
made the motion that it be adopted, Dr. Smith seconded the motion. pbtion
carried unanimously. The Ordinance will be published in the newspaper and
posted at the Court House and will be put into effect on Narch 1st.

Dragline: 11r. Cranford reported that delivery had been delayed on the new
dragline, but that the company from which the dragline is being purchased
has sent their mechanic to keep the old machine in operation until the new
one is delivered.
Public Water Systems: Hr. Cranford reported that a Private 1-later System
Company is makin" plans to put Public Water Systems in several of the new
developments.

Staff: Announcement was made that Hrs. Rosemary Leonard has passed the
examination for Bacteriologist I, and has replaced Keith Glover and that
Miss Edna Woody has been employed to fill the Laboratory Technician II
position.
Budget: Dr. Hooper reported that a"reement had finally been reached with the
State Personnel Department on Salaries. The Professional employees will go
on normal range effective January 1, 1966 and clerical and non-professional
will go on one step below normal. Salaries from July 1, 1965 through December
31, 1965 will remain at two steps below nOrTIilll. Details will be worked out at
the next Commissioners meet in" and official notice given to us.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned;
