Reaves, Mr. Bruce Freeman, Mr. W. K. Whitmire, Mrs. Vivian Wright Absent: Mr. R. E. Carter Minutes of the July meeting were approved as mailed to members of the Board. Butler Property - July Meeting: Report was made that the problem had been resolved. The tenant has moved. Mosquito Control: Dr. Knox gave copies of letters from Mr. Richard C. Axtell, Professor at N. C. State University, Raleigh, N. C. and Mrs.John L. Lamb, Sr. of Wilmington to members of the Board. Mr. Axtell was extending an offer to work more closely with our mosquito control program. The letter from Mrs. Lamb enclosed a newspaper clipping concerning an epidemic of encephalitis in Mississippi and expressed her fears of this happening here. Shields Ice Cream Shoppe: A letter was distributed to members of the board from Hal J. Shields, which in fact was stating the position of the Restaurant Owners Association but substituting his name. Some time ago one of the Shields Ice Cream Shoppe's was given a rating of liB" and Mr. Shields was quite upset. The Shoppe now has a grade "A". This was furnished just as a matter of information. Report on Leaks and Signs - New Quarters: Dr. Knox reported that the leaks had not been entirely stopped, but the situation was much better. Also, the signs for the building and grounds had reportedly been shipped and that a tracer had been put on them. Brush In be asked meeting. for Members of Board: Dr. Smith to have a "Brush-In" for members Dr. Knox will arrange this. suggested that the Dental Hygenist of the Board at the September Committee - Administrator: in the Classified Section for the Health Director. ad be placed.
