After discussion, it was the consensus of the Board
to publish a schedule for Water & Sewer District
meetings to be held regularly on the 3rd Monday of each
month
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Retchin MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner
Dolan to adjourn the Special Meeting of the District
Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
Chairman O'Shields adjourned the Special Meeting at
8 58 o'clock P M

MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT DECEMBER 17, 1984
ASSEMBLY
A Special Meeting of the New Hanover County Water
and Sewer District was held on Monday, December 17,
1984, at 9 02 o'clock A.M. in the Assembly Room of the
New Hanover County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut
Street, Wilmington, North Carolina
Members present were Commissioners Jonathan
Barfield, Sr; John Dolan; Nolan O'Neal; Fred Retchin;
Chairman Claud O'Shields, Jr; County Manager G Felix
Cooper; County Attorney Robert W Pope; and Clerk to the
Board, Lucie F Harrell

Chairman O'Shields called the Special Meeting to
order stating the purpose of the meeting was to review
and discuss a resolution authorizing the County Manager
to perform various acts and sign certain documents on
behalf of the County for the District

DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY
County Manager Cooper presented a resolution for
approval authorizing him to perform various acts routine
to County business on a daily basis stating he was now
performing these duties
Commissioner Barfield questioned Items No 2 and No
7 requesting notification to the Board when negotiations
occur under these items
After a lengthy discussion, Commissioner Retchin
MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner O'Neal to adopt the
resolution authorizing various acts and documents to be
signed by the County Manager with notification of any
negotiations under Items No 2 and No 6 Upon vote,
the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
