2004-03-29 Special Meeting NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERSBOOK 29 SPECIAL MEETING, MARCH 29, 2004PAGE 950 ASSEMBLY The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners held a Special Meeting on Monday, March 29, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. in Room 501 of the New Hanover County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, North Carolina. Members present were: Chairman Robert G. Greer; Commissioner William A. Caster; Commissioner Nancy H. Pritchett; County Manager Allen O’Neal; County Attorney Wanda M. Copley; and Clerk to the Board Lucie F. Harrell. Members absent were: Vice-Chairman Julia Boseman and Commissioner Ted Davis, Jr. Others present were: Finance Director Bruce Shell and Sheila L. Schult, appointed Clerk to the Board effective April 1, 2004. Chairman Greer called the meeting to order and announced that the purpose of the Special Meeting was to consider a Technical Restructuring of the 2004 Debt Refunding Bonds that were approved on March 8, 2004. Resolution Confirming the Maturities of and Rates of Interest to be Born by the General Obligation Refunding Bonds Chairman Greer explained the Resolution before the Board was to confirm the maturities of and rates of interest to be borne by the Refunding Bonds. Chairman Greer called for a motion to adopt the resolution as presented. Motion: Commissioner Caster MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Pritchett, to approve the Resolution of the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners Confirming the Maturities of and Rates of Interest to be Borne by the $47,425,000 General Obligation Refunding Bonds of the County of New Hanover. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED 3 to 0. A copy of the resolution is hereby incorporated as a part of the minutes and is contained in Exhibit Book XXVIII, Page 25.9. ADJOURNMENT Chairman Greer called for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion: Commissioner Pritchett MOVED, SECONDED by Commissioner Caster, to adjourn. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
