1997-02-17 RM Exhibits A RESOLUTION OFTHE NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WHEREAS, a greater continuum of medical care may be afforded by combining the delivery of emergency medical services with that medical care provided by a hospital, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires that the New Hanover Regional Medical Center explore providing emergency medical services within the hospital's service area; and WHEREAS, to facilitate the New Hanover Regional Medical Center S providing such emergency medical services, the Board of County Commissioners asks that the New Hanover Regional Medical Center consider acceptance of a transfer without compensation, of certain facilities, personal property and personnel presently utilized by New Hanover Countv in providing said services; and WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute ~ l60A, Article 12, authorizes such transfer to entities performing public purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the New Hanover Countv Board of Commissioners requests that New Hanover Regional Medical Center consider undertaking the provision of emergency medical services, through a transfer of certain facilities, personal property and personnel presently utilized by New Hanover County in providing such services.
