SUPPLEMENT TO PROCLAMATION DECLARING A STATE OF EMERGENCY
IN NEW HANOVER COUNTY
WHEREAS, the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners declared a State
of Emergency pursuant to County Ordinance Article II, Section 6.7-16 and Chapter 166A
of the North Carolina General Statutes, on September 4, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners has determined
that in the interest of the public health and safety a curfew be established in New
Hanover County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT all persons in New Hanover
County Shall observe a curfew and remain in their houses or other shelter during the
hours from 10:00 P.M. September 9, 1996, until 6:00 A.M. September 10, 1996.
PROCLAIMED at 2:15 P.M. on the 9th day of September 1996.
