AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF ZONING AREA 3
OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA,
ADOPTED MAY 18, 1970
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY DOTH ORDAIN:
Section 1. The Zoning Map of Zoning Area 3 is hereby amended by removing
the hereinafter described tract of land from Unzoned to R -20 Residential Zoning
District Classification, said land being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the Centerline
of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and the Centerline
of Mason Inlet, continuing in a easterly direction along
the centerline of Masons Inlet for a distance of approx-
imately 6,000 feet to the point of intersection with the
Atlantic Ocean; running thence southwestwardly along the
Atlantic Ocean Shoreline approximately 2,000 feet to the
Town of Wrightsville Beach Extraterritorial Jurisdiction;
running thence westwardly approximately 6,000 feet to the
Centerline of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway; thence
running northeast along the Centerline of the Waterway
approximately 2,000 feet to the point of BEGINNING,
containing approximately 230 acres. This being the same
land as shown on New Hanover County Tax Map Number 52 of
Harnett Township Block 03, Parcels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
and part of 8 and 9.
Section 2. The County Clerk is hereby authorized and directed under the
supervision of the County Commissioners to change the Zoning Map of Zoning Area
3 on file in the office of the County Commissioners, so as to make it comply
with this ordinance.
Section 3. Any ordinance or any part of any ordinance in conflict with
this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict, is hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance is adopted in the interest of public health,
safety, morals, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the County of New
Hanover, North Carolina, and shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY DOTH ORDAIN:
Section I. The Zoning Map of Zoning Area 3 is hereby amended by removing
the hereinafter described tract from the R -15 Residential Zoning District
Classification and placing it in the R -20 Zoning District Classification, said
land being described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the southern bank of Bridgers Creek, thence in an
easterly direction along the bank to a point in the northern right -of -way of
Dunbar Road (SR 1490), the total distance between said points being approximately
2620± feet; thence easterly along the same creek bank 800± feet to a point;
thence southwesterly 700± feet to a point, thence 1645 feet in a northwesterly
direction to the point of beginning. The following parcels are included:
Tax Map 37 -00 Block 005 Parcel 001
Tax Map 45 -00 Block 001 Parcels 004, 04.1, 04.2, 005
45 -00 Block 002 Parcel 001
Section 2. The County Clerk is hereby authorized and directed under the
supervision of the County Commissioners to change the Zoning Map of Zoning Area
3 on file in the office of the County Commissioners, so as to make it comply
with this ordinance.
Section 3. Any ordinance or any part of any ordinance in conflict with
this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict, is hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance is adopted in the interest of public health,
safety, morals and general welfare of the inhabitants of the County of New
Hanover, North Carolina, and shall be in full force and effect from and after
Its adoption.

Section 1. The Zoning Map of Toning Area No. 3 is hereby

southwest corner of Parcel 011, Block 004, Tax Map 44 -00;
thence along the western boundary of said parcel to the
southern boundary of Brandywine subdivision; thence easterly
along the southern boundary of said subdivision to the point
and place of beginning.
Section 2. The County Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed under the supervision of the County Commissioners to
change the Zoning Map of Zoning Area No. 3 on file in the office
of the County Commissioners, so as to make it comply with this
ordinance.

Highway Overlay District.

A special highway overlay district boundary 500 feet in
depth on each side of the right -of -way of Military Cut -off
Road; the boundary on the east side beginning 500 feet west
of the intersection of Military Cut -off and Eastwood Roads

Beginning at an iron pipe in the western line of the Military Cutoff Road (SR 1409, 100 foot
right -of -way) that is North 9 degrees 25 minutes East along said line of said road 109.00 feet
from a point that is opposite a point in the centerline of said road that is maidway between
twin culverts under said road; said point being southwardly along said road about 0.4 mile
from its intersection with MacCumber Station Road (SR 1471) that leads to the southeast;
running thence from said beginning point North 80 degrees 35 minutes West 515.01 feet to
a 16 inch white oak that is used as a corner fence post; thence North 89 degrees 39%2
minutes West 308.75 feet to an iron pipe; thence North 9 degrees 25 minutes East and

minutes East 820.00 feet to an iron pipe in the western line of said road; thence south 9
