RESOLUTION
OF THE
BOARD OF DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS
OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Title II of the Federal Water Pollution
Control AmendIuents of 1972 (P.L. 92-500 D.S.C. 1251 et. seg.)
authorized the award of step Federal Construction Grants for
waste treatment works, and
WHEREAS, the New Hanover County Water and Sewer
District intends to request Federal grant assistance to aid in
the construction of Phase II interceptors, pump stations and
force mains as set forth in the "Section 201 Facilities Plan;"
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF DISTRICT
COMMISSIONERS OF THE NEW HANOVER COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT:
That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District
will arrange financing for all remaining costs
of the proj ect if approved for Federal Grant
awards.
That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District
will adopt and place into effect on or before
completion of the project a schedule of fees and
charges which will provide adequate funds for
proper operation, mainteDBnce and adIninistration
of the system.
That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District
will provide for efficient operation and
maintenance of the proj ect on completion and
construction thereof.
That Wyatt Blanchard, County Engineer, and
successors so titled, is hereby authorized to
execute and file Step III application on behalf
of New Hanover County Water and Sewer District
with the Environmental Protection Agency for
grants to aid in the construction of the project
described above.
That Wyatt Blanchard, County Engineer, and
successors so titled, is hereby authorized and
directed to furnish such information as the
appropriate Federal or State agencies may
request in connection with such applications or
the project; to make the assurances as contained

correct copy of the resolution authorizing the filing of Step III
