1995-10-02 RM Exhibits RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received and publicly opened by the Finance Department at 3.00 p.rn. on the 19th day of September, 1995, at the County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, North Carolina, and the following bids were received for ten stretchers for the Emergency Medical Services Department, Bid # 96-0066: Stryker Corporation Aero Products Corporation $23,950.00 $15,500.00 AND WHEREAS, the proposal received from Aero did not provide the required information to verify cpmpliance with bid specifications and based on the limited information provided staff found areas of noncompliance with the specifications and therefore it is staffs determination that the proposal received from Aero Products Corporation is non-responsive, AND WHEREAS, the Emergency Medical Services Director, the Finance Director and the County Manager recommend that the contract be awarded to Stryker Corporation, a foreign I corporation organized under the laws of the state of Michigan, the lowest responsive bidder, in the amount of Twenty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty ($23,95000) Dollars; I I AND WHEREAS, funds have been previously appropriated and are now in Account No 110-433-1331-3000-6400 to cover this contract; I I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of New Hanover <;:ounty that the contract for ten stretchers for the Emergency Medical Services Department, Bid # 96-0066 be awarded to Stryker Corporation in the amount of Twenty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty ($23,950.00) Dollars, and that the County is hereby authorized and directed to execute I the contract, contract form to be approved by the County Attorney. That the Zoning Ordinance of the County of New Hanover adopted October 6, 1969, as amended be and the same is hereby further amended as follows: 1. Table of Permitted Uses: Mobile Home Park (Density shall not exceed 2.5 units per acre beyond Urban Transition Area (2/16/87) High Density Development (3/22/82)[ Pennitted only with Urban Transition Area (2/16/87)] 2 Planned Development DIstrict: 53 5-2(2) MaXImum BuildIng HeIght: The maximum building height for residential, commercial and office and institution structures shall be forty (40) feet; except that the maxImum height for buildIngs located within the Urban Transition as indicated on the County's Land Classification Map and fronting along a collector, minor artenal or principal arterial as IndIcated on the County's Thoroughfare Classification Plan shall be eighty (80) feet. 53.5-2(6) Maximum Density: (A) Allowable density shall be determined by Site Capacity Standards for High Density Development as authorized ill SectIon 69.4(3) ofthis Ordinance, except that land Intended for commercIal, office and mstItutlOnal, and industrial uses shall be subtracted from the gross site area. COUNTYCOMMJSSIONERS '95 ocr 16 APllO ~G ORDINANCE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA COUNTY OF NEW HANOVER IN THE MATTER OF NAMING A PRIV ATE ROAD TO BOZEMAN ROAD It appearing to the Board of County Commissioners of New Hanover County that consideration has been given to the naming of a private road to Bozeman Road located in Federal Point Township, in the Myrtle Grove community commencing approximately 1,350 feet south from the Chimney Lane/Carolina Beach Road intersection east side, extending 3,300 feet east to its termination and recorded as part of Deed Book 1098, Page 956 of the New Hanover County Registry and it further appearing that a public hearing was held on Monday, October 2, 1995, at which time all persons were heard on the question of whether or not the naming would be in the public interest; and it further appearing that notice of said hearing was transmitted to all resident owners and prominently posted in at least two (2) locations along said road, and published in the Star News local newspaper, and the Board of County Commissioners is of the opinion that said road in New Hanover County should be named and the naming of same is in the public interest, the description of which is delineated on the attached exhibit. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED AND DECREED that the above described road is hereby named Bozeman Road IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this ordinance be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of New Hanover County, North Carolina, and that notice of the action taken by the Board of County Commissioners be transmitted to the postmaster having jurisdiction over the road, the North Carolina Board of Transportation and to any city within five (5) miles of said road in accordance with N.C. 'WHEREAS, ready and accurate identification of developed property is important for the delivery of general County services, for the operation of commercial enterprises, for the response of emergency and public safety vehicles, and for the convenience of the general public; and WHEREAS, a comprehensive and systematic property numbering system is an efficient means of identifying property within the County; and WHEREAS, such a system will promote the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of New Hanover County. THEREFORE, it further appearing that a public hearing was held on the 2nd day of October 1995 at which time all persons were heard on the question of whether or not assigning house numbers would be in the public interest, and it further appearing that notice of said hearing was prominently posted in at least two (2) locations along said street, that notice of the time, place and subject matter of the hearing was prominently posted at the County Courthouse and published in a newspaper of general circulation in the County. NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordained and decreed that the above house number assignments be made. It is further ordered that a copy of this ordinance be transmitted to the Postmaster having jurisdiction over the road, to the Board of Transportation, Sheriffs 911 Dispatcher and to any city within five miles of said road in accordance with N.C.
