MINUTES OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT

The Board of District Commissioners of the New Hanover
nty Water and Sewer District met in Regular Session on Monday,
ch 20, 1989, at 12:21 o'clock P.M. in the General Assembly

District, Lucie F. Harrell.
Chairman Barfield called the meeting to order.

ROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER OUTFALL ACROSS WAL-MART
PERTY AT MONKEY JUNCTION
County Engineer, Wyatt Blanchard, stated JDN Enterprises of
anta, Georgia, owners of the Wal-Mart complex, have agreed to
struct 2,600 feet of twenty-four (24) inch sewer line at

e also agreed to construct an additional 1,200 feet around the

Vice-Chairman Corbett asked why they have agreed to

Engineer Blanchard stated this type of cooperation is a good

in constructing sewer lines at a savings to all

ROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FORCE MAIN FROM WHISKEY CREEK PUMP

County Engineer, Wyatt Blanchard, stated Berman Properties
is preparing to develop a new section of Lansdowne Subdivision.
As part of the construction, they will build a temporary pump
st tion to serve the project with installation of a 10 inch force
ma n for the cost of materials plus 20% at an approximate cost of
$2 ,000 to the District with a total savings of approximately
$2 ,000.
District Commissioner Retchin MOVED, SECONDED by District
Co issioner 0' Neal to request the developer to construct the
Di trict's force main for a maximum price of $21,000. Upon vote,
th MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
