A RESOLUTION OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, G.S. Chapter 153A, Article 15 authorizes counties to establish water and sewer systems, and G.S. Chapter 162A,
Article 6 authorizes counties to establish a water and sewer district; and
WHEREAS, New Hanover County has established the New Hanover County Water and Sewer District, which District has arranged
for construction of a sewer system in the unincorporated County; and
WHEREAS, the District desires to locate public utilities within dedicated subdivision easements in New Hanover County; and
WHEREAS, various easements in New Hanover County have been dedicated to the public use by the recordation of a subdivision
plat or other map; and
WHEREAS, G.S. l53A-158 authorizes acquisition of a fee or lesser interest in real property by gift, grant or other lawful method;
and
WHEREAS, the New Hanover County Water and Sewer District desires to accept the offer of dedication of certain streets and
easements for the purpose of providing sewer and/or water services to County residents by and through the New Hanover County Water and
Sewer District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
That New Hanover County Water and Sewer District hereby accepts for sewer and/or water utility purposes, in the District's
discretion, the offer of dedication of those subdivision streets and easements as more fully set forth below:
1. Street Description:
Being all that portion of Plantation Road, commencing at the point of the intersection of said
road with Deerfield Road, thence running east to the point of its terminus, as more fully
shown on the Revised Map of Greenview Ranches, Section V, recorded in Map Book 13,
Page 11, New Hanover County Registry.
2. Street Description:
Being all that unnamed 60' wide platted road, commencing at the intersection of Plantation
Road, thence running north to the point of its terminus at the
NCDOT Northern Bypass, Project R-2405A, right-of-way sheet No. 30 prepared by Bruce G.
Leonard, P.E., as recorded in State and County Highway Map Book 2, Page 201 of the New
Hanover County Registry, as more fully shown on Maps of Green view Ranches, Sections X
and XI, recorded in Map Book 13, Page 36 and 37, New Hanover County Registry. Said60'
wide roadway is bounded on the west by tax parcels R02800-00 1-024-000, R02800-00 1-027-
000 and R02800-00 1-065-000, and on the east by R02800-00 1-025-000 and R02800-00 1-
026-000.
The New Hanover County Water and Sewer District does not accept said subdivision streets or easements for purposes of
providing any drainage services or road maintenance whatsoever.
