PROVAL OF VARIANCE REQUEST (AGREEMENT #91-0068)

County Engineer, Wyatt Blanchard, stated Roymac Partnershi
i planning to develop a 25-1ot subdivision off of U. S. Highwa
4 1 North of Sutton Steam Plant. They have requested a varianc
t allow a delay in construction of the sewer system for th
s bdivision until the District's sewer system is available i
t at area. Staff recommends approval of the variance as
p esented in the proposed agreement which will require Roymac
P rtnership, or its successors, to construct the internal sewer
s stem upon notification of sewer availability. The agreement
w 11 be recorded, run with the land, and require individual lot
o ners to construct the internal system when necessary.
Chairman Barfield requested the Legal Department to more
c ear ly define the location of the property in the proposed
a reement. He commented on the uniqueness of this particular
v riance request, due to the property being located across the
C pe Fear River and the unavailability of sewer in this area, and
sated under normal circumstances the variance would not be
g anted.
