ASSEMBLY
The New Hanover County Board of Commissioners held a Special Meeting on Wednesday, October 5,
2005, at 9:05 a.m. in Room 301 of the New Hanover County Administration Building, 320 Chestnut Street,
Wilmington, North Carolina.
Members present were: Chairman Robert G. Greer; Vice-Chairman William A. Caster; Commissioner Ted
Davis, Jr.; Commissioner William A. Kopp, Jr.; Commissioner Nancy H. Pritchett; County Attorney Wanda M.
Copley; and Clerk to the Board Sheila L. Schult.
Chairman Greer announced a Closed Session pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6) to consider
employment of a public officer or employee.
Motion
: Commissioner Pritchett MOVED, SECONDED by Vice-Chairman Caster, to convene to Closed Session,
pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6), to consider employment of a public officer or employee. Upon vote, the
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Chairman Greer convened to Closed Session at 9:05 a.m.
Chairman Greer excused County Attorney Copley and Clerk to the Board Schult.
Chairman Greer reconvened to the Special Meeting at 5:35 p.m.
Chairman Greer reported that the Board interviewed candidates for the County Manager position.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Greer adjourned the Special Meeting at 5:35 p.m.
