NEW HANOVER COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY
SPECIALMEETING
October 25, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
The New Hanover County Airport Authority held a Special Meeting on October 25, 2021, for the
purpose of considering a personnel matter pursuant to NC General Statute 143-318.11(6).
Airport Authority members attending were: Donna Girardot, Chairman; Spruill Thompson, Vice
Chairman; Nick Rhodes, Secretary;Julia Olson-Boseman, Jason Thompson,Lee Williams and
Tom Wolfe. Also present were members of the search committee: John Lennon, Mark
Francolini; and County Attorney, Wanda Copley. Also present was Linda Frankel with ADK
Consulting.
The meeting was called to order at 8:28 am. Mr. Rhodes MOVED, SECONDED by Mr. Wolfe
for the Authority to go into closed session for the purpose of considering a personnel matter
pursuant to NC General Statute 143-318.11(6). Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED.Mrs. Olson-
Boseman was not present for this vote.
Mrs. Olson-Boseman arrived at 8:44 am. Mr. Williams left the meeting at 11:00 am.
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION
Mr. J. Thompson MOVED, SECONDED by Mr. S. Thompson to adjourn the closed session and
return toopen session. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED. Mr. Williams was not present for
this vote.
During the closed session the Airport Authority interviewed candidates for Airport Director.
Mr. S. Thompson MOVED, SECONDED by Mr. Rhodes to adjourn the meeting.
