REGULAR MEETING JUNE 21, 2022
ASSEMBLY
The Parks Conservancy Board held its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, 5:30pm at the
Airlie Cottage.
Present: Jessica Gray (presiding), Karl Hess, Mark Ihnat, Tess Osmer, Tony Pagrabs, Jim Orr.
Absent: Commissioner Jonathan Barfield, Cheryl Hannah, Gabriella De Souza, Spero Pekatos.
Staff: Tara Duckworth, Andy Johnson, and Jodi Rich.
WELCOME AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Jessica welcomed everyone in attendance and called the meeting to order.
1. Staff Report. Tara Duckworth shared information about the quarter-cent transportation
sales tax which, if passed, 39% would go to fund trails. She asked the group if they were
interested, they could help educate/advocate for it. (Staff can only educate, not advocate.)
2. Jodo Rich reviewed the financial information. We had $91 in Plant an
Azalea donations. Food Truck Rodeo vendor fee payments was $925.
3. Food Truck Rodeo. Janine shared that the next Food Truck Rodeo will take place on
Sunday, November 13 at Long Leaf Park.
4. Old Business/New Business. Tony Pagrabs mentioned the possibility of the Trash Mob
partnering with the Plastic Ocean Project to have more impact and participation.

5. Next Meeting. The next meeting will take place on June 21 possibly at the Wrightsville
Beach Brewery.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6:02pm.
