1.Voice of the Customer. Tom Kerner (Cape Fear Ultimate Frisbee) provided some information about the
organization. They have 120-150 people per league and play three seasons (spring, summer & fall). At the
end of the season, they have a 1-day tournament. Getting involved with youth to encourage them to play the
sport. Hope to have a league among schools in the future. He asked about being able to know ahead of time
about field closures
time to see if fields are closed. He also said it would be helpful to be able to use fields in the southern area as
well as the north. Lastly, he shared they hope to be able to do two-day tournaments held in March/April 2023
and October 2023.
2.Top of Mind Topics. None.
3.Director/Staff Q&A. Andy Johnson presented information regarding facility usage. He shared that in 2017
the county adopted a facility use policy. User groups are classified by type and activity to establish priority.
There are some challenges such as: Lacrosse play needs isolated fields; field hoarding; field
improvements/repairs can only be made during June and July; groups not working together due to
competition and there is only one staff member in the evenings for each park district for field audits.
