Purpose: The Committee shall be organized for the purpose of developing a comprehensive workforce housing study, workforce housing
opinion study and public awareness campaign, support for increasing equitable access and the supply of workforce housing that is
affordable; informing the Appointing Authorities and other organizations of their findings; and making recommendations, in an advisory
capacity, to the Appointing Authorities and other organizations, as necessary.

* According to New Hanover County’s Administrative Policy for Face Coverings on County Property, individuals
from the public who participate in indoor meetings of the Board of Commissioners, Planning Board, Health and

For the upcoming Workforce Housing Advisory Committee meeting, individuals can submit public comments in
advance to rlacoe@nhcgov.com by Tuesday, August 30, 2021 at 12 PM. Written comments will be provided to
the committee and the committee chair will acknowledge receipt during the public hearing or submit comments
into the record during the public comment period.
