S22-03 March Mailout Packet NOTICE OF QUASI -JUDICIAL HEARING NEW HANOVER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MARCH 6 , 20 23 Special Use Permit Request (S22-03) – Request by Thomas Johnson, attorney on behalf of Skyway Towers, applicant, on behalf of Kenneth and Eloise Parker, property owners, to place a 195 foot tall, concealed monopole Wireless Communications Tower on one unaddressed parcel totaling approximately 4.98 acres of land located on Plantation Road at the intersection of Plantation Road and Military Cutoff Extension. This petition will be considered by the New Hanover County Planning Board at a public hearing on Monday, March 6, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m. or thereafter at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, located at 24 North Third Street, Room 301 (corner of Third and Princess Street) in Wilmington, NC. Since this notice is sent only to property owners within 500 feet of the parcel boundary of the proposed project, please discuss it with other residents who may be interested. Anyone wishing to be heard on this matter should appear at the public hearing or arrange to be represented. Typically, a total of twenty (20) minutes will be allocated for all of those wishing to speak on the request, including both supporters and opponents of the application. Following this twenty-minute period, the applicant will have an opportunity to address comments and questions from the public. The Planning Board will then discuss the application and pose comments and questions to the applicant. Staff will provide an overview of the next steps in the special use permit application process, and the Planning Board will close the preliminary forum.
