WHEREAS, after due advertisement, bids were received and
pUblicly opened by the Finance Department at 3:00 p.m. on the
23rd day of July, 1991, at the County Administration Building,

RESOLUTION OF INTENT
TO CLOSE A PUBLIC ROAD
A PORTION OF ARCHDALE ROAD
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed pursuant to N.C.G.S.
~153A-241, requesting the Board of Commissioners of New Hanover
County to close the following described portion of a public road:
Beginning at a point in the southern right-of-way
line of Graystone Road that is the northeastern corner
of lot 83 as shown on the plat of Brickstone Estates
Subdivision, recorded in Plat Book 20, Page 71 of the
New Hanover County Registry extending southwest for a
distance of 150 feet to a point at the southeast corner
of lot 83; thence southeast 60 feet to a point at the
southwestern corner of lot 49 as shown on the plat of
Brickstone Estates Subdivision, recorded in plat Book
16, Page 31 of the New Hanover County Registry
extending northeast for a distance of 150 feet to a
point at the northwest corner of lot 49, thence
northwest 60 feet to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board is
considering closing said road to public use, and that a
public hearing on this question will be held on the 3rd day of
September, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. in the General Assembly Room of the
County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Wilmington, North
Carolina, at which time the Board will hear all interested
citizens and make a final determination as to whether the
unopened road shall be closed.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the New Hanover
County Board of Commissioners on the 5th day of August, 1991.

AN ORDINANCE
OF THE
NEW HANOVER COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

The Board of Commissioners of New Hanover County h~reby
amends Chapter 15, Article II, Section 15-95 of the New Hanover
County Code, as follows:
Sec.
15-95.
Obtaining building permit prior to
certification.
In the event a developer desires to obtain a building
permit prior to the certification of the sewer system by the
engineer he must furnish a One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollar surety
bond, cash deposit or letter of credit for each unit.
Upon
furnishing bond, application for sewer service may be obtained
not more than one hundred twenty
(120) . days prior to
certification of sewer system.
ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1991.
