HomeMy WebLinkAboutZ23-09 March 30 Planning Board Mailout Packet NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NEW HANOVER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD MARCH 30, 20 23 Item 2: Rezoning Request (Z23-09) – Request by Rob Tanner with Impeccable Development, applicant, on behalf of Andrea Jones, Gwendolyn Horton, Christin Deener, Dwayne Barr, and Kimberlee Barr, property owners, to rezone seven (7) parcels totaling approximately 11.77 acres of land located at 6800, 6808, 6814, 6818, 6820, 6824, and 6828 Carolina Beach Road from R-15, Residential to 2.37 acres to (CZD) B-1, Neighborhood Business and 8.66 acres to (CZD) RMF-M, Residential Multi-Family – Moderate Density for a convenience store with fuel stations and a maximum 128 unit multi-family development. This petition will be considered by the New Hanover County Planning Board at a public hearing on Thursday, March 30, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. or thereafter at the New Hanover County Historic Courthouse, located at 24 North Third Street, Room 301 (corner of Third and Princess Street) in Wilmington, NC. Since this notice is sent only to property owners within 500 feet of the parcel boundary of the proposed project, please discuss it with other residents who may be interested. Anyone wishing to be heard on this matter should appear at the public hearing or arrange to be represented. Typically, a total of fifteen (15) minutes will be allocated for all of those wishing to speak in favor of the request, and another fifteen (15) minutes for those opposed to the request. Following this thirty-minute period, an additional five minutes for each side may be allowed for rebuttal statements. After the hearing, the Planning Board will close the public comment period and vote on the request.
