SPECIAL MEETING
April 19, 2023
CALL TO ORDER
The New Hanover County Airport Authority held a special meeting to honor former members of
the New Hanover County Airport Authority on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Wilmington
International Airport, 1740 Airport Boulevard, Wilmington, North Carolina. The meeting began
at 10 am.
Airport Authority members present were Spruill Thompson, Chairman; Nick Rhodes, Vice-
Chairman; Tom Wolfe, Secretary; Lee Williams, Jason Thompson, Faison G. Sutton and LeAnn
Pierce. Also present were Jeff Bourk, Airport Director; Robert Campbell, Deputy Director;
Granseur Dick, Deputy Director; Carol LeTellier, Business Development Director; and Rose
Davis, Executive Assistant; Kenny Smith, Operations Manager; Keaghon Stark, Facilities
Manager; Erin McNally, Marketing, Air Service and PR Manager; Jackie Yellin-Mungo,
Comptroller; Stephanie Lawson, Accountant; and Jean Lawler, Advertising Representative; and
Michele Bourk.
Former Airport Authority members present were Dr. Chuck Kays, Harry Stovall, John Lennon,
Robert Rippy and Tom Barber.
WELCOME
Chairman S. Thompson welcomed the former Authority members and introductions were made.
TERMINAL TOUR AND PRESENTATION
The group took a tour of the new terminal facility and Mr. Bourk shared the 2023 Vision Plan
presentation followed by lunch.
The current Authority members and ILM staff expressed their appreciation for the groundwork
set by the former Airport Authorities.
It was suggested that a group of former Airport Authority members be formed and Mr. Wolfe
agreed to oversee future meetings of this group once his term on the Authority ends in June 2023.
The meeting ended at approximately Noon and no action was taken.
