Re: Water & Sewer Availability Residence at Canopy Pointe Situs Address: 205 and 207 Middle Sound Loop Rd.
Dear Mr. Weldon,
This letter is to verify that Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) water and sewer capacity is currently available for the proposed Residence at Canopy Pointe project. Sewer capacity is allocated on a first come, first serve basis when capacity is available,
the plans meet CFPUA’s requirements, and the NCDWQ FTA/FTSE forms are signed
by the Authority. If the project plans to use sprinklers for fire suppression, an engineer must perform modeling to determine that the on-site appurtenances can sustain required water flow and pressure. Assuming the project receives approval to install a 3” meter, the System Development Charges (SDC’s) currently applicable for sewer is
$31,050.00 and $28,800.00 for water.
Due to low pressure in this area, CFPUA requests the project minimize the impacts to the water system by reducing the planned irrigation service size. The irrigation meter size also must be approved during the CFPUA plan review. The SDC’s currently
applicable for a 5/8” meter is $1,920.00, a 1” meter is $4,800.00 or $9,600.00 for a 1 ½”
meter. Please be advised that all fees quoted will be updated by CFPUA on July 1st, 2021 when our new budget year begins. Please feel free to contact me if you have any
