1.SCHEDULE A PRECONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE WITH THE NEW HANOVER COUNTY AND
DESIGN TEAM. OBTAIN A LAND-DISTURBING PERMIT.
2.INSTALL GRAVEL CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE, TREE PROTECTION, SILT FENCE, SKIMMER
BASIN, AND OTHER MEASURES AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLAN. CLEAR ONLY AS
NECESSARY TO INSTALL THESE DEVICES.
3.CONTACT NEW HANOVER COUNTY EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR FOR A CERTIFICATE OF
COMPLIANCE INSPECTION PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY.
4.BEGIN CLEARING AND GRUBBING. MAINTAIN DEVICES AS NEEDED. BEGIN ROUGH GRADING
OF SITE.
5.INSTALL CULVERTS AND STORM SEWER AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS. SEED CULVERTS AS
INSTALLED. PLACE INLET PROTECTION ON STORM DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AS THEY ARE
INSTALLED.
6.UPON INSTALLATION OF STORM INFRASTRUCTURE AS SHOWN ON THIS DRAWING, BEGIN
CONSTRUCTION OF SKIMMER BASIN.
7.AT THE END OF EACH WORKING DAY AS GRADING PROGRESSES, ENSURE THAT ALL
INSTALLED EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, AND THE SITE
HAS POSITIVE FLOW TO THE SEDIMENT BASIN.

2.BEGIN UTILITY INSTALLATION INCLUDING WATER AND THE REMAINDER OF STORM SEWER
AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS. INSTALL INLET PROTECTION ON STORM DRAINAGE
STRUCTURES AS THEY ARE INSTALLED.
3.BEGIN PARKING LOT CONSTRUCTION.
4.COMPLETE GRADING OPERATIONS, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, UTILITY CONSTRUCTION,
AND ALL OTHER ASSOCIATED SITEWORK.
5.SEDIMENT BASIN 1 SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL ALL ONSITE CONTRIBUTING AREAS ARE
STABILIZED.
6.GROUND COVER SHALL BE PROVIDED AS FOLLOWS:
·FOR ALL AREAS OF MODERATE AND/OR STEEP SLOPES, PROVIDE TEMPORARY
GROUND COVER IF THE SLOPE HAS NOT BEEN DISTURBED FOR A PERIOD OF
FOURTEEN (14) DAYS. SLOPES GREATER THAN 3:1 REQUIRE GROUND COVER IN 7
DAYS.
·PROVIDE GROUND COVER SUFFICIENT TO RESTRAIN EROSION ON ANY PORTION OF
THE SITE UPON WHICH FURTHER LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY IS NOT BEING
UNDERTAKEN WITHIN FOURTEEN (14) CALENDAR DAYS OF TEMPORARILY OR
PERMANENTLY SUSPENDING LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY.
·ESTABLISH PERMANENT GROUND COVER SUFFICIENT TO RESTRAIN EROSION WITHIN
FOURTEEN (14) CALENDAR DAYS FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION OR
DEVELOPMENT AND/OR PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION.
13.MODIFICATIONS TO THE APPROVED AND PERMITTED PLANS SHALL BE APPROVED BY EROSION
CONTROL INSPECTIONS PRIOR TO REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION. CONTACT THE EROSION
CONTROL INSPECTOR TO OBTAIN SIGN-OFF ON THE PLANS.
14.MAINTAIN ALL EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.
SILT FENCE, INLET PROTECTION, AND OTHER SIMILAR MEASURES MUST BE CLEANED OUT
BEFORE THEY ARE HALF FULL. CLOGGED STONE FILTERS MUST BE
REFRESHED/REPLACED. SILT FENCE CAN NOT HAVE HOLES OR TEARS.
15.UPON FINAL STABILIZATION OF SITE AND APPROVAL OF NEW HANOVER COUNTY EROSION
CONTROL INSPECTOR, REMOVE ALL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ONSITE.
SEDIMENT BASIN 1 CONVERSION NARRATIVE
1.AFTER THE SITE IS STABILIZED AND WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE NEW HANOVER COUNTY
EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR, DEWATER AND REMOVE ACCUMULATED SEDIMENT FROM
EXISTING SEDIMENT BASIN BY MEANS OF A PUMP WITH THE EFFLUENT LINE CONNECTED
TO A DIRTBAG. THE DIRTBAG USED FOR DEWATERING IS TO BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES.
2.EXCAVATED ADDITIONAL AREA NEEDED AS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE FINISHED
ELEVATIONS AS SHOWN ON GRADING AND DRAINAGE DRAWING.
3.SCM CERTIFICATION DOCUMENTATION MUST INCLUDE AS-BUILT SURVEY OF THE FACILITY
PERFORMED BY A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL.
