Good morning Mr. Strickland,
I apologize for not getting back to you last week about the TIA. It was discussed and it was determined
that there is no need for a TIA update for the development.
I believe Nick is still out this week so I have copied Assistant District Engineer Frank Mike who may be
able to help you regarding any updates to driveway permits.

Good morning Jamar – hoping no news means no requirements to update the TIA or any existing NCDOT
permits for the Whiskey Branch Multi-Family development but I feel that its more likely you haven’t had
a chance to review yet. If a call is easier, please let me know. Relevant questions are highlighted below.
Thanks for any feedback!

Mark,
Thanks for reaching out. A driveway permit has been approved for this site as a whole and you will need
to follow the requirements from the WMPO. My comments on the site plan itself were more of general
comments about the items that should be on the plans as they play an important factor for site design
and safety.
As for the slight alteration from what the approved letter states I would recommend contacting the
WMPO to verify that they have no issues with the change.
If you have any questions let me know.
Thank you,

Good morning Nick – attached are comments from the TRC review of the Nexus Whiskey Branch
project. I am looking to confirm no NCDOT permitting will be required as we will not take access from
any NCDOT roadway. The 2021 TIA approval letter is included within the attachment and this Phase of
development would be considered Phase 2 in that TIA approval. Please note that the units have been
slightly revised since the TIA approval (268 apts and 50 townhomes proposed; 0 SF of the commercial
portion for Phase 2 proposed).
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks!
