BEGINNING at a railroad spike at the intersection of the southern line of an 18 foot road
with the western line of US Highway 117 (Castle Hayne Road, 30.0 feet from its center
line) said 18 foot road being shown as lying south of Farm 44 and north of Farm 58,
Marathon Colony as prepared by C R Humphreys, CE, dated 1905, running thence from
said beginning point and with the western line of said US Highway 117 South 38 degrees
37 minutes West 262 0 feet to an iron pipe marking the southeastern corner of a tract of
land conveyed to George W Wilkins et ux and recorded in Book 771 at Page 548 of the
New Hanover County Registry; running thence with the southern line said George W.
Wilkins tract of land North 64 degrees 26 minutes West 158 9 feet to an iron pipe;
running thence a new line North 30 degrees 26 minutes East 243 75 feet to an iron pipe in
the southern line of the aforementioned 18 foot road, running thence with the southern
line of said 18 foot road South 68 degrees 00 minutes East 197.8 feet, more or less, to the
Point of Beginning Contained 1.012 acres, more or less and being the eastern portion of
the aforementioned George W. Wilkins tract of land as recorded in Book 771 at Page 548
of the New Hanover County Registry, the foregoing survey and description prepared by
George Losak, RLS No L-494, January 23, 1977 And being the same property
conveyed by that deed to Elaine Wilkins Underwood recorded in Deed Book 2592, Page
777, New Hanover County Registry Subject to that Right of Way to the NC Department
of Transportation recorded in Deed Book 4542, Page 914, New Hanover County
Registry.
